Shiny Leung is a second-generation British-born Chinese author and self-taught illustrator dedicated to telling empowering stories for the Chinese diaspora. Growing up in the UK, she was always curious about the journeys and histories that shaped her family and community.

After moving to Hong Kong in 2005, she spent over two decades working as a graphic designer and UX/UI designer. During this time, she reconnected with her cultural roots, reclaimed her language, and reignited her passion for illustration.

She now combines her design skills, cultural knowledge, and art to create vibrant and engaging books. Her debut work bridges generations and continents, offering readers a chance to see their own heritage reflected in powerful stories of genius, resilience, and revolution.
